About the job

When beginning to work as a mushroom picker you will be given instructions about mushroom harvesting and you will be taught to tell the freshness and sizes of the mushrooms that could already be harvested. It takes some time to learn and start working with higher productivity, but eventually the more productive you are, the more bonus you could get! 

On average you are expected to pick 22kg mushrooms per hour. It might sound like a lot! But when you start learning and working, it’s just a piece of cake! When picking more than 22kg mushrooms per hour, the extra bonus is €0,38 per hour per kilo. Every 4 weeks the total amount of the mushroom picked will be counted, and then it's time for you to get your bonus.

The usual start of your working day is at 07:00 in the morning. You need to be available to also work during the weekends and keep in mind that some working days might work shorter and some longer – it depends on the growth of the mushroom!

You will work in an international team with different nationalities. The working environment is very nice and the client has really good relationship with the employees! Many people have worked there more than 10 years.
