Vacancy: Field Service Technician

About the job

We are looking for a handy technician who is ready to work with any weather at the company specialized in hatch cover spare parts and service. The technician is responsible for checking the hatch cranes and the systems that ensure that the ship's hatches can be opened or closed and will also carry out repairs and maintenance on these systems.
Candidate must be able to work in a solution-oriented manner and to independently retrieve items when they are not present. The work is mostly outdoors in all weather conditions. It is important to be able to work independently and have experience with welding and installing hydraulics.

The work location is mainly in Delfzijl and Harlingen, but occasionally may also be elsewhere in The Netherlands or Europe. Accommodation will be arranged then and compensation of €25 per night given.

Fluency in English language is important as the language of instruction and communication with the crew of the ships is almost always English.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:15 until 16:00, but it may happen that a job still must be completed, or a job has to be carried out during the weekend because a ship is in the port. Overtime is compensated or agreed to exchange for free time.

Field Service Technician will be trained internally, no previous training is required. He/she is also provided with a fully equipped service van to carry out the work properly.

5. Driving license B
